MOONDANCE is a half-bred Appaloosa horse directly descended from the stallion ridden by the real life Butch Cassidy during his bank robbing days with the Sundance Kid. He was the first foal ever born at Castle Dewey, so we wanted to celebrate him by naming a cottage after him.

MOONDANCE COTTAGE is in fact the original farmhouse, and sleeps 6 people in one double and two twin rooms. One of the twin rooms can be a double by zipping the beds together. The double room has an ensuite shower room, and there is also a family bathroom, although we recommend that very tall guests don't choose the double, as it has very low beams!

There is a farmhouse kitchen with the original slate floor, now made luxurious with the installation of under floor heating, a sitting room and conservatory. There is also a downstairs lavatory just off the entrance lobby.

All our cottages share the facilities at Pugwash House, which you will find in the orchard, and where you can do your laundry, browse our collection of holiday paperbacks, play a game of snooker or darts, or plan tomorrow's walk from the Ordnance Survey maps. We also keep a freezer stocked with home made meals, loaves of bread and cakes, so if you don't feel like cooking, just take out what you fancy and leave your money in the honesty box.

There are gardens for each of the cottages, and a shared space for barbeques. We hope that everybody will enjoy a friendly and relaxing stay in this beautiful and unspoilt part of Cornwall.
